Devlog #1 : I think I have an alfa!
Hello!
I have finished the basic game loop and I consider this an important goal, so I decided to write a devlog and a message.
I started making this game at the first day of the recommended quarantine in my city. Everything was so stressful. I was frustated with my job, with other personal projects, with other personal matters, I was in NEED of something that I could focus without being even more stressed.
Then I started to sketch a really old idea in Unity. I was not worried about how much time it would take, how good it would be, I was just DOING A THING BECAUSE YES.
That's how this game came to life.
Almost a month later, things didn't get any easier (some get even harder), and this game is the only positive thing I've done in my life for the last four weeks. I could not be more grateful for having this game to help me bail out of the rest of this situation everyone is going through.
So, my message for everybody now is: If you're not feeling ok, why don't you try to start doing a thing? Anything. It doesn't matter if you know what you're doing (I never managed to make a 3D game or a driving before, and I have been trying for YEARS!!), just do it. Start with a first step. Staying home and not being able to go to work, or meet your loved ones, doesn't mean you have to stop your life.
You still got to take care of yourself. So be strong. Be alive. We'll make it.
Ok, about the game...
1. I didn't inserted any credits yet but I have to thank my friend Alrose for this juicy BGM, I still can't believe she had this on a shelf.
2. I have made all the 3D assets. I'm thinking about posting it as an asset pack later. If you have interesnt in unsing it, let me know :)
3. As I said at the beginning, this version of the prototype has the complete gameplay cicle. It means it can take sometime before the next update, as anything I can do now will start from scratch. So the next update will probably have some big changes, but I don't know what changes yet (I'll certainly do something with the car physics).
Well, that's it for now.
Feel free to comment, I want to know what you think of the game or even if you have a "quarantine gaming experience" too.
